The South Korean boy band WINNER which was formerly a five-member band is currently a four-member band. It was introduced by YG Entertainment. The members were grouped through the reality program Mnet titled “Win: Who is Next”. Having won the reality show, they got the chance to showcase their talent as a debut K-pop band.

They perform various genres such as K-pop, alternative pop, R&B, and even hip hop. The band appeared as guest performers at various events with other artists. They became famous even before releasing their official debut album.



Winner Debut

The band released their official debut singles titled “Empty” and “Color Ring”.  They performed their debut music show on SBS’ Inkigayo. The commercial success of these singles placed them in the list of “Top 10 Artist” awards at Melon Music Awards. They also banged the “Best New Artist” award in various shows including the Gaon Chart Music awards and the Golden Disc Awards.

They also released the Japanese version of the album as 2014 S/S: Japan Collection which never missed to top the charts. The band soon became popular even in Japan by attracting 50,000 people to attend their first Japan tour.



Winner Members

The leader of the Winner band, Yoon is the youngest of all. His birth name is Kang Seung Yoon. Kim Jin Woo who was formerly known as Jinwoo and currently Jinu is the lead vocalist and the visual of the band. The next member is Hoony who was previously known as Seunghoon. His original name is Lee Seung Hoon and is the main dancer, lead rapper, and vocalist of the band. The last member of the troop is Mino, also known as Song Min Ho is the main rapper, vocalist, and face of the group.

The member who left the band, Taehyun’s real name is Nam Tae Hyun. He was the main vocalist and the youngest member when he belonged to the group.               

Winner Ages

The leader Yoon is the Makenae or the youngest being born on January 21, 1994. Yoon is 27 years old as of 2021. The eldest member of the group is Jinu who was born on September 26, 1991. He is 30 years old. The second eldest of the band is Hoony. His birthday is on January 11, 1992, and is 29 years old. The last member Mino was born on March 30, 1993, and is 28 years old.

The band released numerous singles counting to sixteen, fourteen music videos, four studio albums, six digital albums, three single albums, a live album, and a compilation album.

Their albums include “Remember”, “Everyday”, “Our Twenty Four”, “S/S”, “Japan Collection”. They also released their tours “Winner Exit Tour In Seoul Live”, “Winner Japan Tour 2015” and “Winner 1st Japan Tour 2014”. There are also several mini-albums like “Cross”, “We”, “Exit: E” and so on.
